The BFI Film Academy 2015/16 is now open for applications! This year we are ‘Exploring Sound’ and will be working with our delivery partner The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) as well as a number of industry professionals in Sound Design, Composing and Screenwriting. The BFI Film Academy, a Saturday club for 16-19 year olds with a passion for watching, discussing and making films. This year’s theme is ‘Exploring Sound” and the 17 week course will give you the opportunity to explore how sound impacts a film, from sound design and creating foley to composing for film. Over the 17 weeks you will deepen your understanding of visual storytelling through watching and discussing films, as well as learning camera, sound and editing skills at one of Scotland’s top filmmaking schools, The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS). Through a combination of theory and practical work you’ll develop the skills you need to achieve the look and feel your film needs.Find Out More
