Join tutors Cliff Yates and Jess Richards at Moniack Mhor from 30 Nov - 5 Dec 2015 to explore new ways of expressing your voice – or that of your characters. Through group workshops and one-to-one tutorials, they will help you discover how best to get your ideas on the page. Guest reader Kapka Kassabova will share her work and writing wisdom on Wednesday evening. You will also get to know other young people from the Highlands in the creative atmosphere at Moniack Mhor.
The course is open to young people in the Highlands aged 16-19 with an interest in creative writing. It starts on Monday at 5pm and ends at 10am on Saturday morning. There is no cost for the course, but we ask those who are interested to submit a short application to reserve a place.
To apply, send us a piece of original work written by you that responds to one of the following questions:
Why do you write?
Why do you want to learn more about writing?
How will this course help you?
What is your current writing project? (Incude a short sample)
Answers can take any form — poem, prose, essay, video, audio — as long as they are written by you. Send your work in an email to Kelsey, our Youth Programme Manager, along with your completed booking form. Her email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also contact her with any questions or for more information on 01463 741 675.
