Stories have the power to cross boundaries, transform perceptions and bridge division. At the same time stories can be distorted and manipulated to create divisions. Good storytelling however is about good communication and being true to our human experiences.
Traditional storytelling embodies the practice of hospitality and Stories Without Borders will bring together Scottish, European, Middle Eastern and North African exemplars of intercultural welcome across ten packed days of celebrating oral traditions and cultural diversity.
Stories Without Borders will explore global issues through the power of storytelling including specially commissioned performances exploring:
War and Peace
Welcoming the Stranger
Between the Generations
Transforming Myths of Landscape
