Got a passion for art? Thinking about a future in making, curating or teaching it? Discover The Net Effect, a new visual arts group in the south side of Glasgow.
The Net Effect is a visual arts group for 16-25 year olds, led by artist Ruth Barker. In this weekly programme we will be taking a creative look at ‘Connections’, exploring art through questions of action, interpretation, and risk. Focussing on Tramway’s immediate local context, we will be meeting artists, attending events and galleries, and hearing about the experiences of individuals and communities. Most importantly we will be making, talking, guessing, and creating our own responses to a series of creative challenges devised by Ruth, based in Tramway’s Visual Arts Studio.
Participants will be supported to work towards an optional Silver Arts Award: a nationally recognised certificate of achievement, as part of this project.
This is a Turner Prize 2015 legacy project. Please note: we will provide up to 2 FREE supported places for previous participants of The Net Effect who want to continue working with the group, but are facing financial difficulties.Find Out More
