More about YDance Routes
Destinations is part of the nationwide YDance Routes programme designed to inspire, develop and support Scotland’s thriving youth dance community. As part of this, YDance (Scottish Youth Dance), has been rolling out a range of activities that offer workshops, performances, training and networking events to broaden the horizons of Scotland’s young dancers.
Activities include the annual YDance Routes Connections weekend, bringing together youth dance groups from across Scotland to take part in a variety of dance workshops and choreographic development opportunities. Over three days up to 200 young people aged 12 to 21 get the chance to work with different choreographers, specialising in a range of dance styles, to broaden their existing knowledge of dance and technical skills.
YDance Routes Growing offers professional development opportunities for group Dance Leaders, allowing them to spend a full day with a choreographer and also time to network with one another. Applications for the next Growing Day with Kerry Nicholls, Thursday 5 & Friday 6 May 2016, will open in 2016. For more information please visit www.ydance.org.Find Out More
